I sit under a tree in a public park near a cycling trail. The tree is a White Oak with a wide trunk and branches that dip toward the ground. Tiny, green acorns crowd the branches.
Oak trees only produce acorns after 20 years and peak production occurs between 50-80 years.
I’m sheltering under a grande dame.
