Summer Solstice

We enter the realm of Summer, full of leafing and greening, blooming and burgeoning, hatching and singing. Two baby garter snakes, thin and black like pencils, crossed my path this morning while countless birds sang and quibbled from the treetops. I was happy to see the snakes because they are a rare sight.
