New Moon in Aquarius
The New Moon in Aquarius is exact today January 21st, at 12:53 pm PT. The Moon makes an encouraging aspect to Jupiter in Aries and is widely conjunct Venus and Saturn. Saturn is strong in their home sign of Aquarius.
This is the second of three New Supermoons in a row (first one in December and last one next month). The Moon and Sun will join at 1º Aquarius. This tells us that both Saturnian and Uranian energy will both guide and propel us forward until Leo Season (August). These planets encourage prescience and patience, wisdom and invention, discipline and authentic self-expression and prioritizing the needs of the collective over the needs of the self. Venus and Saturn conjunct in Aquarius remind us that sometimes sacrifice can be beautiful. For example postponing buying that expensive item that will bring you a moment’s joy for something more useful and possibly necessary for your family or community. The “group” or collective - which includes all beings - takes priority when the Sun travel through Aquarius.
This New Moon asks you to transcend personal goals to see how you are a light to others.
This is supportive - and auspicious - energy for fixed signs (Aquarius, Taurus, Leo and Scorpio) who may be considering taking a new direction or trying on a different role. For cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) this New Moon ushers in a wonderful cycle of reward and the manifestation of many dreams. Mutable signs (Pisces, Gemini, Virgo and Sagittarius) can expect promotion, unexpected gifts and money!
We will finally feel like the wheels have been taken off our training bikes around January 29th which is when Mars trines the Sun and Mercury trines Uranus.
Lastly this IS a magical New Moon and I encourage you to set intentions. Again my perennial reminder that intentions should be set NOT on the night of the New Moon but during the crescent phase (24/25 January). Boost your chances of success by setting intentions around the themes associated with your Aquarius house. For example if Aquarius is your 4th House (4H) you will want to set intentions around home and family.
