First Bird
a feathered blessing, an omen
On January 1st, Don and I went on a 5km walk that meandered through forest and suburbs. The very first bird we saw that crystalline morning was an American Dipper. We wouldn’t call ourselves birders but we have been doing a lot more bird watching over the last two years and so we were delighted to see this beauty dipping in a creek.
