Earlier today a wolf spider crossed my desk on his way to the window sill where I imagine, he used all of his eight eyes to search the corners of the window for a mate.  Wolf spiders are native to the Pacific Northwest and if you see one running around indoors it is probably a male as the females rarely leave their webs.
